Ad Guidelines

Overlay requirements -

The ad cannot remain on the page for longer than seven seconds in total; it must automatically time out.
A close button is required on all interstitial ads, to be red in colour and on or immediately above the ad so as to highlight it against content on the page. This needs to be present for the entirety of the ad.
The ad needs to be placed on the page so as it does not block dropdown menus or header titles; at a vertical height of 270pixels below the top of the page, and centrally positioned horizontally.

Video (In-stream) requirements -

Required assets to create a ticker ad:
.SWF file and its source files (ActionScript2, up to Flash 9 version);
font files;
video file (.FLV if you prepare the .mtf file yourself, or you can send us your video in other formats such as avi, mov, mpeg2, mpeg 4, and we’ll encode it for you)

The Ticker -

Max. width: 300px
Max. height: 40px
SWF: up to Flash 9
- the art work can run wider than 300 if not constant IE isn’t txt or is an element that runs in for the side
- must contain a close button as per template file supplied
- must contain action script code as per template supplied
- all flash effects are permitted up to frame rate of 30fps
- other action script can be used as long as it doesn’t affect the template code
Resulting packaged .mtf file size limit is 38.9 k – this is the maximum permitted by the ad server and cannot be ‘adjusted’.

The Video -

Video: MPEG-2 (.mpg)
Dimension - 720x576 or 720x405 16:9 (16:9 preferred)
Datarate: 8-15 Megabits per Sec
Framerate: 25
Audio: Uncompressed PCM or MPEG Layer 2 @ 224 kbps
All audio levels should be full scale -0db.

The Process -
download and install the DoubleClick Motif Ad Kit for Adbobe Flash, available from:
http://www.doubleclick.com/products/richmedia/adkit.aspx
use all assets required to build your ticker in the Ad Kit above (Flash assets, backup GIFs and XML etc.) and package them into a single file (.mtf);
send us the resulting .mtf file along with the video and instructions as to where the video should click to (advertiser’s URL);
MUZU will traffic the resulting .mtf file and the matching companion video through the ad server (DoubleClick DFP).

Adding in the Click Tag:
When supplying us with swf&gif files please embed the following tag in the swf file:

Deadlines are as follows:
Standard creative (Banner, Skyscraper, Island, Button) - 48 hours (2 days) prior to the campaign commencing.
Expandable creative - 72 hours (3 days) prior to the campaign commencing.
Interstitial creative (overlay, pop-unders etc) - 1 week prior to the campaign commencing.

Note: that any delays on creative may mean a delay in the campaign going live, and this subsequently may affect the end date of the campaign.
